The Church, Part 21 – Acts 16:1-6 and Ephesians 4:11-16

Do you need equipping, mending, and healing?

Acts 16:1-6 and Ephesians 4:11-16

Questions:

1. What stood out to you in the message?

2. Who is someone that played a key mentoring role in your life? Tell your group about this person and how they impacted your life.

3. What church roles do you see listed in Ephesians 4:11? Why did Paul include these roles and not others? How do these roles complete a good ministry team?

4. If you hired Paul to do an assessment of your life and its effectiveness in accomplishing Jesus’ mission for your life, what would he recommend you do? How would he go about changing things in your life?

5. Pastor Chad taught about how the words “to equip the saints” in Ephesians 4:12 actually has a connotation of “to mend”, not just “to equip”. Pastor Chad’s Big Idea, “Healing people lead people to healing who lead people to healing”, was based on this. How does your healing/mending play into your equipping of others?

6. How does Ephesians 4:15-16 support how you answered the previous question?

7. Pastor Chad concluded by saying that we are ALL called to ministry because Jesus’ healing in us is to be sharing with others in need of Jesus’ healing. What is Jesus calling you to do for Him? What person or ministry is He calling you to sharing healing with and in?
