Love and hope in a scary world

Acts 9:1-28

1. What stood out to you in the message?
2. Have you ever watched Professional Wrestling? Who was/is your favorite character? Why?
3. How did Jesus get your attention and show you that it was time to follow Him? Tell us your story.
4. Acts 9:7 says that there were men traveling with Saul, and that they were dumbfounded by what they heard. What do you think it was like to be one of Saul’s companions and experience this? What would you have thought if you were one of them? Why?
5. How do you think Saul felt when Jesus confronted him? What do you think he was thinking? Why?
6. Saul’s encounter with Jesus forced him to change everything about his life:  his career, his beliefs, his philosophies, his allegiances, his opinions, etc. We all have areas of our lives that we have not completely allowed the Holy Spirit to transform (Romans 12:2) within us. What are some areas that are most difficult to give to Jesus? Why?
7. What do you think it was like for Ananias and Barnabas to stick their noses out for Saul? Why would it have been so difficult for them to do this?
