2. “When it rains it pours.” To what scenario in your life might that saying refer?
3. In Job chapters 1 and 2, how are the major players depicted: God? Satan? Job?
4. Why is it significant that Satan has to have God’s permission to do anything against Job? What does it say that Satan obeys the limitations that God places on him?
5. Read Job 1:20-21 and 2:10. What in Job’s response strikes you as most extraordinary? How would you have responded in similar circumstances?
