3. What four types of soil does Jesus mention? What characterizes each one?
4. What does Jesus’ explanation of this parable (Matthew 13:18-23) say about the Sower? About the seed? About the various soils? About the fruit?
5. Pastor Chad said that it is important to think about what kind of soil we are because research and God’s Word warn us that many may think they are followers of Jesus, but in fact are not. What soils do you see in the church today?
6. What “crop” does Jesus want us to yield? What can you do to increase your fruit?
7. Pastor Chad spoke about how “spiritual fruit” in the Bible always refers to our either being righteousness, living in a way that is Jesus-like, leading others to Jesus. Which of these are easy? Which are difficult?
