Keith Matney, Associate Pastor

Email Keith

Keith sensed God’s call in his life to vocational ministry as a teen and prepared accordingly by graduating from Dallas Baptist University (Bachelor of Music) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master’s of Religious Education).  He served churches in Texas and has been with First Southern since 1998.  Keith loves creating opportunities for believers to use their gifts to honor God through creative expressions of worship and bless His people.

Keith has been married to Kathy for over 33 years.  They have been blessed with three grown boys, two wonderful daughter-in-laws — all serving the Lord and His church — and three very busy grandchildren.  One of the greatest blessings of Keith’s life is for he and his family to call First Southern his home.
